Marcia Woytovciz Interview

Marcia works with the Web Project and Services Team at Athabasca University’s main campus library. Her duties include metadata for projects and collections in the library. She is currently working on converting and working with audio, video and photo resources. 

What has been your favorite project at the AU Library?

One f my favorite projects is the Athabasca Area Seniors' Memory Project. The project showcases the history of the Athabasca area and features seniors who first settled in our town. I feel really proud of my work when others are pleased with the outcome. Plus, when you have a great team to work with, it just makes your job that much more enjoyable. 

Any advice for people going into your line of work? 

Having good knowledge in metadata and, audio and video editing is essential.

Where are you from?

Born and raised here in Athabasca!

What do you do outside of work? 

I enjoy going horseback riding, tagging along with my husband on motorbike ride and, gardening.

Favorite song at the moment? 

“The Older I Get” by Alan Jackson.
